We are delighted to announce that Building Pathways have been awarded a ESF Community Grant to deliver their highly successful pre-employability programme Building Pathways Academy in selected areas of West Sussex and East Surrey.

Commissioned by the Coast to Capital LEP, the programmes will be delivered in partnership with long-term employer partner Willmott Dixon, with the first course starting on May 23rd 2022.

The 2-week online course comprises accredited training & qualifications (including CSCS Green card), employability skills and careers advice, and Willmott Dixon, as well as delivering industry insight sessions, CV workshops and mock interviews, will be offering participants site visits and opportunities for work experience and employment on their latest state of the art ‘Blue Light’ project  for the West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service in Horsham.

We will be working with JCP Partnership Managers and Work Coaches, and other local organisations in the Horsham and Crawley areas to recruit small groups of out of work local people aged 16+ who are interested in a career in construction.

Interested candidates should email info@buildingpathways.org.uk or speak to their JCP Work Coach.

Martine Corbett – Training Programme and Social Value Manager, Willmott Dixon:

“Willmott Dixon are delighted to have recently partnered with Building Pathways to deliver a collaborative Building Lives & Building Pathways programme. Delivering training and employment opportunities and seeing positive outcomes for many of those on the programme – increased confidence, self esteem, CSCS cards and employment – has been fantastic.

Building Pathways shares Willmott Dixons values and the team are driven to change not only some of the misconceptions surrounding the construction industry but, most importantly, people’s lives.”
