“I was already on the path to shaping my career, receiving employability support from the Drive Forward Foundation, including help with job searching, my CV and getting general career advice. I had previously dipped my toes into the world of plumbing at college but couldn’t complete it. I was eager to find another doorway into the construction industry.

In November 2022, I enrolled in the 5-day CSCS Green Card course at the Building Pathways Academy. With determination and the right guidance, I aced my Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction exam and the CITB Operative Test on my first attempt, earning my Green Card.

What made a difference for me was the personalised touch to training. I benefited immensely from live tutor interactions, insights from local contractors and the exam preparation sessions. Building Pathways Academy also provided invaluable support in helping me transition into the workplace.
